With only 2 ingredients, this Easy Creamy Cucumber Salad recipe can be ready to eat in less than 10 minutes! Store-bought Tzatziki sauce already has fresh chopped dill and garlic already in it. Another shortcut is no peeling or seeding English cucumbers necessary.
Confession: Tzatziki sauce may not be "Southern", but creamy cucumber salads are! Sour cream is typically used in a classic cucumber salad instead of this Greek yogurt-based sauce.
So, it's easy to trade out sour cream in a homemade sauce (I give you a recipe further down) but you'll have to locate fresh dill and mince fresh garlic.
You could call this a more "healthy" creamy cucumber salad because of the health benefits of Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has more protein and less sugar than regular yogurt and less fat than sour cream.
One-third cup of this quick and easy side salad is about 20 calories and fits into the keto diet plan!

Shortcuts
- Only 2 ingredients!
- Fresh dill is not always readily available so it's conveniently already included in store-bought Taziki sauce.
- Minced fresh garlic is already in the Taziki sauce.
- English cucumbers (also called burpless) do not have to be peeled OR seeded.

Tip: If you think the Greek yogurt in Tzatziki sauce is a bit tart, just stir in a teaspoon of sugar.
What is in Tzatziki sauce?
Tzatziki sauce (pronounced tuh-zee'-ki) is a Mediterranean-style creamy sauce, usually made with Greek yogurt, minced cucumber, garlic and fresh dill.

An easy, crispy, crunchy cucumber salad recipe in less than 10 minutes. Boom!
Substitutions & Variations
- Sour cream and onion dip - Substitute this store-bought dip for the Tzatziki sauce
- Use pickling or salad cucumbers- I recommend peeling both of these cucumbers and seeding the larger salad cucumber.
- Chopped Cucumber Salad- Who says you have to slice the cucumbers? Chop or cube them if you prefer a chunky cucumber salad.
- Creamy Cucumber Onion Salad- Stir in thinly sliced red or sweet onion
- Chickpea and Cucumber Salad- It's as easy as stirring in a cup of canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans).
- Carrot and Cucumber Salad- Stir in some thinly sliced cucumbers or for a shortcut, just buy the matchstick-cut carrots.
- Other tasty add-ins would be grape tomatoes, radishes, and avocado.
Helpful Information
It's easy to whip up a homemade creamy cucumber dressing if you have the ingredients. Combine 1/3 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill, 1 to 2 cloves minced fresh garlic, and a dash of salt.
This sauce will provide a more "Southern" creamy cucumber salad but it's hard to beat this 2 ingredient recipe for convenience!
