These honey roasted carrots made in the air fryer are easy, budget-friendly, elegant and effortless! It's one of my favorite simple side dishes for Easter ham or holiday roasts with just 3 or 4 ingredients and ready in 15 minutes.
Peel the carrots and cut them into pieces of similar length and thickness (about 2 to 3 inches). Cut the thicker ends in half lengthwise so they cook evenly.
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F to 400°F for 3 minutes.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the honey, oil, and salt. Add the carrots and toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle with black pepper, if using.
Place the carrots in the air fryer basket. Cook at 390°F to 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, until the carrots reach your desired tenderness.
Transfer the cooked carrots back to the same bowl and toss them with any remaining honey mixture to glaze them before serving.
Notes
Adjust the seasoning after cooking. If you're unsure about salt or spice levels, start with less before roasting, then add more once the carrots are cooked and glazed.Pro Tip: Cut the carrots for even cooking. The thicker ends of the carrots take longer to cook, so cut them in halves or quarters to match the thinner pieces.
